Whenever a Lions Club gets together, problems get smaller and communities get better. That is because we help where help is needed in our own communities and around the world with unmatched integrity and energy.
Our 46,000 clubs and 1.35 million members make us the world s largest service club organization. We re also one of the most effective. Our members do whatever is needed to help their local communities. Everywhere we work, we make friends. With children who need eyeglasses and helping hands, with seniors who dont have enough to flourish and with people we may never meet.
Founded in 1985 with the motto "We Serve," the Lions Club of Ranaghat West has been a dedicated force for positive change in the community. Over the years, the Club has consistently worked to address the needs of local residents through various social welfare programs.
A significant milestone was the establishment of the Ranaghat Lions Eye Care Centre in 2001, made possible by generous donations and support from the community and Lions District 322B1. This center has provided essential eye care services to countless individuals.
In addition to eye care, the Club has also focused on general health and wellness. The Ranaghat Lions Diwalima Diagnostic Centre and the Ranaghat Lions General Health Care Centre offer vital medical services. The Club's commitment to community outreach extends beyond healthcare. It has organized various initiatives, including community marriages, distribution of essential items, and support for individuals with disabilities.
Today, the Lions Club of Ranaghat West continues to be a driving force in the community, serving as a platform for individuals to come together and make a positive difference.
